Chandra Scleral Lens (Chandra Boston Scleral Prosthesis) a medical device is developed and manufactured exclusively for Shekhar Eye Research for the treatment and management of corneal disorders.
Qualified patients are provided with Chandra Scleral Lenses irrespective of their ability to pay
For financial help qualifications are
Patients should have tried or unsuitable for all other alternative treatments
Require to produce proof of poor economical status, but can afford post care maintenance cost
Proper reference and character certificate from a respected citizen of India
Copy of ration card, bank statement, joint family income proof, reference cum character certificate and self declaration and request letter in patients own hand writing for financial help
Please note that the Shekhar Eye Research Centre, led by Mr. Chandrashekhar Chawan, was offering Boston Ocular Surface Prosthesis from October 2004 – July 2009. In July 2009, the Boston Foundation for Sight USA and Boston Foundation for Sight India located at Shekhar Eye Research Mumbai formally terminated their relationship. The Shekhar Eye Research Centre no longer fits or distributes the BOS-PTM.
